Summer/Fall Village Newsletter:

Information is being gathered to publish a Village Newsletter.  Topics that will be included will be:  Water Department Capital Projects, Push Notification App, Eye-On-Water App, OWPD Re-Accreditation Status, Upcoming Village Meeting schedule, Pond Improvement Project Update and a recent Water Department Retirement. 


Upcoming Village Meetings

Planning Board – Wednesday, September 8th 7PM

Zoning Board of Appeals – Monday, September 13th at 7PM

Board of Trustees – Monday, August 16th and September 20th at 7PM

All meetings will be held in Public, and the associated meeting agenda will be posted on the Village website (


Village Receives Federal Funds:  

As part of the American Rescue Plan Act (ARPA) the Village received $235,653 and is scheduled to receive the same amount next Summer as well.  There is a set of rules and guidelines for the use of these funds that is still being reviewed.  Other applications that the Village has submitted to Federal Government (FEMA) for reimbursement include: Expenses directly related to the COVID Pandemic and Tropical Storm “Isaias”.


All Aboard:  

Don’t miss the wonderful and exciting Electric Train exhibit now on display in the outside garden area of the Old Westbury Gardens.  This special event will be in place until Labor Day.  Refer to the Old Westbury Gardens website for additional information.


Farmers Market Coming To Old Westbury?:

With the assistance of the Friends of Old Westbury, plans are underway to host a weekly “Farmers Market” on the ground of Village Hall (Village Green) starting in the Spring of next year.   All items will be produced here on Long Island and would include a wide range of wonderful items.  More details to follow. 


Push Notification and Eye-On-Water App:

All residents are once again encouraged to sign up to receive Village Alert Messages and Water Usage monitoring and alerts for water usage.  Visit the Village website for sign up information.
