Village’s Deer Management Plan
(August 16th)
Since 2019 the Village of Old Westbury in partnership with the New York State Department of Environmental Conservation (DEC) developed a Deer Management Plan that is designed to control the number of deer within our Village. This established program begins in September and concludes in January/February of each year. A team of professional bow hunters works directly with the Village in a joint effort to ensure program safety and full compliance with all Village and DEC guidelines in the effort to control the deer pollution.
If any resident would like additional information on this program, please contact Village Administrator Brian Ridgway directly at bridgway@vowny.org or by phone at 516-626-0800.
