Good morning Old Westbury Residents,
As most of you are probably aware a severe thunderstorm passed through last night with heavy rain and high winds. As a result, there were a few sporadic power outages caused by down wires. The wires have been made safe by PSEG crews and crews are out working on restoration. You can use the attached link to view updated outage information https://mypowermap.psegliny.com/external/default.html
Contact PSEGLI direct to report any additional outages using this link. https://www.psegliny.com/outages/waystoreportanoutage
Additionally, you may notice cell service is down in some areas of the Village. This is also due to the storm which affected one of the cell towers. There are crews on site now working to restore cell service at the affected tower. The Old Westbury Police phone lines and radio communication are not affected by these outages. We recommend you use a landline or WIFI calling if you have it available. As you drive around this morning, please use caution as the roadways are still wet and covered with debris from the storm. The road department is out working on removing any trees or tree limbs in the roadway. There are no current road closures in the Village. Please notify the Old Westbury Police 516-626-0200 if you see any unsafe conditions in your travels.
