The Village continues to make every effort to assist our residents to restore full electrical power to homes within Old Westbury. Unfortunately, the communications that we have all been experiencing with PSEG Long Island have not been successful. However, today, various PSEG crews – many from other States - arrived in Old Westbury and began in the recovery effort. Due to the large number and overall size of these trees, tree trimming crews were first required before final electrical connections could be made. We are very hopeful that restoration efforts now being displayed by PSEG will continue without delay and every home in Old Westbury is reconnected. The Village is being told by PSEG that this will continue. Residents can monitor these efforts by calling the PSEG Long Island Customer Call Center at 1-800-490-0075 directly.
Following power restoration, Verizon and Optimum connections should be made. It is highly recommended that residents contact their TV/Internet provider informing them of their outage. The Customer Center numbers for these two companies are listed below:

Tree Removal Update:
The Village’s Department of Public Works continues to do an excellent job removing tree debris from the roadways and tomorrow morning will have assistance from NYS DOT in this effort as a result of the Village’s request to the Nassau County Office of Emergency Management for assistance. This crew will be assigned to the Village until the end of day on Friday.
